Rayon Sports

Rayon Sports Football Club, nicknamed Gikundiro , founded in May 1965 in Nyanza, Southern Province, is one of Rwanda’s most successful and popular football teams. Based in Kigali, the club has won 9 Rwandan Premier League titles (1975, 1981, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2004, 2013, 2016–17, 2018–19), 9 Peace Cups, 2 Super Cups, and the 1998 CECAFA Clubs’ Cup, among other local honors. Rayon Sports plays its home matches at Kigali Pelé Stadium (22,000 capacity) and occasionally at the Amahoro Stadium (45,000 capacity).
